| 1994 | CSA (together with Åbo Akademi University, Finland) initiates a research network on Baltic alien species through the Baltic Marine Biologists (BMB) Working Group on Non-indigenous Estuarine and Marine Organisms. |
| 1991 | Research centre joins the newly founded Klaipeda University as the Centre of System Analysis (CSA) and the director and founder of the Centre (Prof. Donatas Švitra) becomes the first Rector of the University. At that time CSA scientists form the core of the newly established Faculty of Natural Sciences including the dean and heads of the several departments. |
